Port of Gdynia Authority S.A. signed a contract for the implementation of the task "Reconstruction of the internal waters of the Port of Gdynia up to a depth of 16 m".
The design for this investment was developed in our office and as we read on the Port of Gdynia website:
"This is the final stage of long-term investments carried out by the Port of Gdynia Authority as part of the investment project" Dredging the approach fairway and internal waters of the Port of Gdynia - stages I and III and the reconstruction of the quays in the Port of Gdynia - stages II and III. " the investment is another such a huge undertaking carried out by the Port of Gdansk Authority S.A. recently. "
"The main goal of this project is to enable the port of the largest ships in the Baltic Sea. Implementation of the project will contribute to a fuller use of the ports potential, an increase in the level of transshipments in terminals, and thus will increase the competitiveness of the Port of Gdynia in the Baltic Sea region," says Jacek Sadaj, President of the Management Board Of the Port of Gdynia S.A. "
The possibility of deepening the Port of Gdynia to 16m would not be possible without the prior reconstruction of the entrances to the port: the main port (currently under construction) and the internal port, as well as many quays. Our office also participated in these design tasks about whether we wrote, among others here Reconstruction of the Norwegian Quay in the Port of Gdynia.
