The reconstruction of Quay No. 14 on the river Motlawa in Gdansk has already ended. This investment was made under the plan of reconstruction Quay No. 14 on the river Martwa Wisla and Motlawa led by the Maritime Office in Gdynia.
The water front is a housing Island Olowianka from Motlawa side and partly from canal Na Stepce. Island Olowianka (formely Szafarnia) in an Island after digging in 1576 a channel Na Stepce. The current name was derived from warehouses (Olowiany Dwor) which were located on the Island and used to store lead. In the eastern part of Olowianka (called Ciesielina) there were large plants carpentry and repair yard, which used by Teutonic Knights. At the end of 19 century pumping plants were built there, preserved and functioning today.
The rebuilt waterfront in its appearance refers to the historical construction of Motlawa Quays.
