We are pleased to announce that our office will be preparing the design documentation for the redevelopment of the Industrial Quay at the Port of Gdańsk. The project will cover a section approximately 180 metres long, located between structural points 35 and 36. As part of the project, we will also carry out the necessary administrative procedures relating to the preparation of the development.
The documentation will be produced in accordance with BIM methodology. This is a pilot project being carried out using this approach at the Port of Gdańsk, and will therefore represent an important step in the implementation of digital methods for the design and coordination of port projects.
Ultimately, the rebuilt quay will be designed to withstand a DOR load of 50 kN/m² and loads transmitted by mobile equipment used by quay users. The design solutions will be selected taking into account the manner in which the facility will be operated and the requirements arising from port operations.
An allowable seabed elevation of −14.00 m EV is envisaged in front of the proposed quay. The reconstruction will enable the Industrial Quay to be adapted to the current needs of the Port of Gdańsk and will increase its operational and transhipment capacity.
