We are pleased to announce that on 27 August 2024, we signed a contract to prepare multi-disciplinary design documentation for the MOLF offshore structure, which is essential for the construction and transport of equipment components for Poland’s first nuclear power station, located in Lubiatowo. As the consortium leader, our firm will carry out the entire project in collaboration with INGEO. The project’s client is the Director of the Maritime Office in Gdynia.
MOLF, or Marine Off-Loading Facility, will be a marine jetty designed to receive heavy, large-scale and oversized components necessary for the construction and subsequent operation of the power station. Delivering the largest components by sea will limit their transport on public roads and reduce the strain on local land infrastructure.
The scope of the contract includes the preparation of, amongst other things:
the project execution concept
multi-disciplinary design documentation for the jetty and a section of the service road connecting the structure to the infrastructure leading towards the power station site
As part of the multidisciplinary design documentation, architectural and structural designs, technical designs and detailed design will be drawn up, along with all other documents and applications necessary for the preparation and implementation of the project.
One of the project’s first milestones will be to carry out detailed ground investigations on land and at sea and to prepare geological and engineering documentation. The results of the geotechnical investigations will enable the foundations of the structure to be properly designed, taking into account the actual ground and water conditions prevailing in the area of the planned development.

These studies will enable an assessment of the impact of the proposed jetty on water flow, sediment transport and processes occurring in the nearshore zone, as well as the determination of safe operational parameters for the structure, requirements for the manoeuvring area and the conditions under which transhipment operations can be carried out.
The preparation of the MOLF design documentation is one of the key elements in the development of the supporting infrastructure for the construction of Poland’s first nuclear power station.
